What's Local
Weston Subedge is a small village that prides itself on being quiet and away from the crowds.
In and around the village itself, there are quite a few things to do. We do however advise guests to appreciate that, because the village is so isolated, their own transport will make their stay more comfortable.
Drinking & Dining:
-
The Village Bar - Our Favourite. Check opening hours though, It's usually open from Thursday to Sunday. Sunday roast dinner there is amazing
-
The Seagrave Arms - Reopening mid-February 2022,
-
Willersey - Just about walkable and some great pubs.
Shopping:
-
Co-Op - Honeybourne. This is the nearest local shop. It is 3km away so it's a pleasant walk or bike ride on a nice day (but car is easier).
-
Pages Farm Shop - We love this place, in summer they have the best local strawberries you will ever taste. It's 7 minutes drive away on the B4632 towards Stratford (on the LHS just after Mickleton)
-
Broadway Deli - In Broadway. Do not leave without a visit. Amazing food and interesting international products. Try the vegan breakfast!!!.
-
Evesham - Supermarkets. Evesham, being 9km away, has a fantastic range supermarkets (and other shops for basic needs). Tesco, Morrison's, Lidl, Aldi, Waitrose (our favourite) and M&S foodhall (a very close second). Most of these will deliver to the house.
Leisure time:
-
Village Green - Quiet children's playground and nice picnic area. The village green is just off Church Street. If you walk there, head towards Chipping Campden and its around 150 yds on the lefts after the red telephone box. You will think you are walking up someone's drive, but its behind their house.
-
Dover's Hill - A great picnic site with amazing view's
-
Cotswold Way - The village is near the north end of the Cotswold Way. A beautiful walking route through the heart of the country.
-
Country Walking - There are many footpaths you can use when walking in the area. We have footpathmap.co.uk on our phones so we don't get lost.
